Why Cell Phone Marketing? Why Now?

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

With the advent of technology in the wireless world, growth is unprecedented over the last few years. From interactive games, to gas price monitors and even personal calorie counters.

Amidst all techno-geek action there is a strong but silent (So we’d think) audience that is the most ideal for cell phone marketing. “The Working Mother is the gatekeeper for purchases related to clothing, feeding and making a home for her family. Her high spending on cellular services together with her propensity to download content via her cell phone imply that mobile marketing could be an important platform for reaching her with product announcements, offers and other promotions,” said Howard Goldberg, senior vice president of agency services, Scarborough Research.

Traffic Finding #1 : PLUGINS

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

As I was looking for the Twitter plugin for my WP Blog.  I found a few other cool tools that can be implemented with your twitter account. The link below has been a great resource for me, it has information, plugings, reviews and installation instructions on pretty much all the products that are listed there.

The first collection I hit up was for Twitter. It has 10 great plugins, most of which have the same purpose, linking your blog to your twitter account and vice versa. Different features vary from each plugin some options include how many posts you’d like to display, the dimensions of your twitter ‘badge’. Some of them even have slide in bars from the left that do the same thing. Check out the link below:

http://www.quickonlinetips.com/archives/2007/04/10-best-twitter-tools-for-wordpress-blogs/

Don’t forget to check out the other collections on the right hand side including YouTube, Flickr, Digg and others.

If you have the new version of Wordpress try the version available at ingoal.info:

http://www.ingoal.info/archives/2008/07/08/twitter-updater/

I’ll be sure to bring a whole group of plug-in resources for you guys to check out, try and test for your own blogs! As for now if you look just below the blog roll, I added some useful links that I have come across in the last 14 or so hours snooping on the net.

Talk to you soon!

Where art thou be?

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

Hello All!

This is my first blog post after quite some time. Feels like I’ve sinned and now it’s time to repent. Ha! I guess I can start with the confession part of things:

First off thanks so much to Dave Dunn careing and reaching out, just like tapping me on the shoulder and asking where I had vanished too. Means alot, thanks Dave!

Okay, so where have I been? Seriously catching up! I missed Brainstorming session 1 cause I was at work.:(

I missed module 4 and the second Brainstorming session cause of work. It was funny, my boss thought I was having a hotflash or something – but I was soo angry. I know, your probably thinking, I can catch up later or listen to it at night
after its loaded. But – Its just not the same.

So as I catch up. I’m excited, I have a few days off from work – and yes Christmas Eve, I’ll be bloggin it. I’m reading other peoples posts and learning lots and hope that I can offer the same caliber of knowledge from my blog.

Talk to you soon!

Here is something really cool I came across over at
Dean’s blog ( http://www.deanhohn.com/ ) it’s called
Comment Luv.

I’m still tinkering with it but I did manage to install it.

But the concept took a while for it to sink in. I haven’t
had my spinach today. But it’s really simple.

Whenever you leave a message on another persons blog,
the plug in will automatically leave a link at the bottom
of your post – check this out – of you most recent post.

Now that’s FrIkEn cOoL!

The support for it is great, as long as you can follow some
instructions and retype some code, it’s bound to work.

Here’s the link to the site:

And here’s the download(s) link:

Alex Jeffreys Mentorship Program – Module 3

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

Hello…

Goodness! What a class. Literally I was sitting on the edge of my seat leaning into my monitor – almost like I was about to kiss the thing.

But all jokes aside!

A powerful class it was. The most impressive I must say was the fact Alex Jeffreys was complimenting, acknowledging the power of this classroom. I have no doubt in my mind that a few of us, if not several of us, are on our way to an income and lifestyle that most people dream of!! My prayers and wishes are with all of you!

I really believe everyone of us should give ourselves a moment to reflect on what this course has given us. The number of doors of opportunity are in our hallways.

~~~~WOW~~~~
And I have marked Gary Simpson’s beautiful words : “this is gonna be a team to be reckoned with”. Indeed Gary has my Vote!
Now, I’ll be honest, I feel like I’m really lacking when it comes to helping out. I’m a newbie at this stuff – but that don’t mean I can’t help. So, after much thinking, pondering and contimplating ( about a whole 45 seconds ) I know where I can help. So I’m gonna put some gears in motion and as I have learned in the Alex Jeffreys Mentorship Program, come up with a simple eBook that will explain the steps and importance of Branding and Marketing . ( As that is my background).
WhooHoo! Now I can finally contribute. And for those of you reading, don’t forget because I’m accountable to you and myself – so drop by once in a while to check in on the ebook. I should have it up and posted in about two weeks time. :)
Share your thoughts and if you have any general question about branding/logos and design please do ask. I’ll be more than happy to help.
To your success!
FILE Manager @ HostGator
Sunday, December 7th, 2008
Hello my fellow students, peers and “peeps”:
Yes all the Alex Jeffreys students are coming together to become this insane Affilliate Super Power! MuHa Ha…okay, now on to more grow up stuff:
I’ve read some posts on some of the Student blogs. Many people are having challenges with their FTP client. To my surprise I haven’t used a FTP client yet. But I have used the File Manger at HostGator. I’ve scratched together a few notes below hope they help:
****************************
File Manager @ Host Gator
I’m hosting with HostGator and I load all my file through the control panel. It’s really simple. If you are hosting at the same place:
1) On your HostGator control panel you’ll see a section named “Files” , there you can click on File Manager. It should open in a new Tab or Window.
2) On the left you will see several folders. The one that is viewed by the public is called “public_html”. That’s the folder where you would need load your files.
3) Make sure that you create and copy all the sub-folders with the same name as what Alex had saved them as.
1) To create a new folder you can click on the “+ New Folder” icon on the top menu bar.
2) Once you create the new folder, (a new folder in the server world is called a directory) double click on it to make sure you’re in that directory and then click on  “Upload” to transfer the file. Once you click Upload, a new tab or window will open with several “browse” buttons. Click on the first one and find the file you have saved on your local computer. You can respectively load all the appropriate files (just remember to be in the right folder!)
I’m not much of a techie. Let me say that again I’M NOT A TECHIE. But via trial and error find out how to get things done the easiest way possible (And if you didn’t go to A+ Class that’s the only way to do it!).
One of the biggest challenges are file names.
Make sure that the name that you have in your link. Is the EXACT same in your server or FTP. That’s why you get the 404 File Not Found error. Some servers are really picky even capital letters or lower case letters matter.
I hope this helps. Ha! I hope your hosting with HostGator. But I’m sure on the most part all hosting companies provide a file manager.
Let me know if it helped!
To your success!
Making the transition.
Friday, December 5th, 2008
Hello
I finally got a chance to read Alex’s email about our next
class. WhooHoo! I get some “extra time”. It’s really nice
that we have such a *GREAT* mentor.
At the moment, I’m working full time and working on my
online marketing business. But I’ve come know that it’s
quite difficult to allocate time (not to mention energy).
I work in customer support and stare at a monitor all
day long (a cira 1990 model with a refresh rate of
like 12) . Makes my eyes *SORE*, I shall be blind by the
time I’m 45.
But what keeps me going? My goals, ambitions and yes my
family. I’m sure everyone has their motivations and goals
so I hope that everyone reaches their milestones!
So for all of us working and building a business please
let me know what’s helping you with scheduling your tasks
because I think thats what my struggle is.
And for those of us that have a full time marketing
business and work from thy pajamas ineth 3am. How was
your transition? I’d love to hear about it so I to can
make the change one day!
To your success!
P.S. Come by www.affillions.com and if your not on the
blog roll please post me a message, I’d love to have you
on me list.
OMG! I have a B-L-O-G!
Monday, December 1st, 2008
Have you ever thought of going skydiving? I have. But I’m such a chicken.
Ha! Then I found out, that the first time you go, you dont’ really have a choice
because you don’t jump out of the plane. You’re thrown out. * GULP *
Isn’t that scary? That’s the same way I felt about setting up a blog. But I’m glad that
Alex Jeffreys gave my that final push that I needed to get things started.
I’m a student of Alex Jeffreys and I’m so glad that I am. His style of communicating
is great! So simple and meaningful. (And Alex I hope that you have a chance to read
this. From the bottom of my heart I thank you!) I so excited and have learn so much,
I really feel that I’ve moved passed that “brain freeze” stage. So much information, so
much hype, so many products, promotions blah blah ereljfouj …….. brain hurts just
thinking about it.
I truly feel that I’m on the right track and headed, of course, in the right direction.
Thanks Alex!
